About This Project

My friend Andrew Buckley talked me into binging all 80’s Star Wars films. I totally fell in love with the story and style of these films. I was curious to see if I’d be able to pull off some basic 3d animation/special effects and this tinkering sparked an idea for an actual story. I shared this with Andrew and before I knew it, he had a whole script written. Three weeks before Star Wars Day (May 4th) we shot the scenes in beautiful Peachland, BC, and I spent the following nights editing this into a short film that ended up being released right in time to celebrate #MayTheFourthBeWithYou.

Synopsis

In a galaxy not so far away, a lone X-wing fighter scrambles to hide an important fragment of the past that could turn the tide and determine the future outcome of the war between the Rebellion and the revitalized Galactic Empire. The Kaiburr crystals were thought lost with the Jedi Order, but there may yet be hope . . .
